[Resolved] No setup wizard, no way to register new users?

Hi everyone. I’m testing out BuddyPress but unfortunately I’m having some issues with it. When I install it and activate it (yes I’ve activated pretty permalinks), I get no notification to run the setup wizard, nor do I see a “BuddyPress” option under my Dashboard. The only option I have is under Settings->Buddypress, and all this does is allow me to activate or deactivate components. I also have no way to create forums and when I go to the main site, I’m not sure how to add a “Register” button near the login panel?

    My site is skykickgame.com.

Also; is there a way to have users searchable by a user-definable set of tags?

There is no wizard in BuddyPress 1.7
Go to Settings > General and check anyone can register
If you want forums install bbPress plugin

    Awesome, that worked, thanks!

Second question, if you don’t mind; is it possible to add a field for custom user tags that can be searched?

    member search uses profile fields.

Try this plugin not sure if it still works https://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/custom-profile-filters-for-buddypress/
