I am running WP 3.5.1, BuddyPress 1.7 and bbPress 2.2. After I updated to BuddyPress 1.7 and bbPress I noticed some issues with Forums. Right now under Archive Slugs in the field “Forums base” it says “forums” – but i have a warning that says “Possible BuddyPress conflict: Forums page.

Also, under BuddyPress, “Group Forums Parent” drop-down defaults to –Forum root–. This drop-down also contains all the forums I created in Forums. However, there is a note that says, using Forum root is not recommended – what does that mean?

Also, when I am logged in, I do not see a way to create new topics and when I go to /forums it’s showing my profile and says “THis user has not created any topics” – but what i don’t understand is, how am I supposed to view all the forum topics when I am logged in?

When I am not logged in /forums says “Page Not Found”
