Searching for group members

In the single/group/admin.php file, I added a search feature in the Manage Group Members area. The search works fine for Admin and Mods, however, it does not search the other members. When I look at the code the Admin/Mods looks at the bp_has_members function while the member section looks at the bp_group_has_members function.
How do I correct the code to search for all members within that group?
