[Resolved] Buttons spinning – nginx issue

Hello, I have issues with some buttons as they are spinning eternally:

Post Update
Comment
(I think also) Add Friend

I have the issue with any theme and with no plugin activated. Firebug, as I click ‘Post Update’, says:

POST http://www.thisisthegeneration.co.uk/wp-admin/admin-ajax.php
(in red, I assume it’s an error)

It may be a conflict between Buddypress and my server configuration. I wanted to know, based on your experience, what should I do to debug or anything else to find the source of the problem, as I don’t know where to run.

I’m using WordPress 3.5.1, Buddypress 1.7.2, Nginx / PHP-FPM (I could not see errors in the logs for nginx or php-fpm, and also I can’t see errors by activating the debug in wordpress wp-config.php)

Found the solution this evening, it is a nginx issue:

For those using nginx, try to find those lines using wp-admin in nginx.conf, with a focus on any line forcing wp-admin using SSL – it just creates a conflict with admin-ajax.php

– yes, it’s not enough disabling SSL in wp-config.php

Of course remember to reload nginx after the updates.
