Nav-bar from default BP theme appearing on all wp-admin pages + other blog themes

The wp-admin-bar (the one with the snazzy little drop down menus etc.) that is at the top of the default BP theme window, has now decided that it looks too nice to stay on the pages it should do. It’s invading every page, even those which don’t conform to the default theme, e.g. wp-admin pages, or other blog styles. I’ve disabled other blog themes, as that’s what I want to do anyway, but this little bugger won’t go away from wp-admin pages.

I can’t see how to get rid of it, any ideas? I’ve identified where it is on the wp-admin page, using firebug, but I can’t find the div that it’s in, as the pages are all so interconnected and complex and I’m just not smart enough.

    So, to summarise:

    – the wp-admin-bar from the default BP theme now appears on every wp-admin page and other page at the same domain.

    – this occurs whether you are logged in as super admin, user, editor or contributor

    – I changed the z-index of the bar, as I didn’t like that it layered with other elements. I also moved it down 129px on the page as I made some modifications to header.php (I added a div so the top of the page looked like the rest of my site). I edited the adminbar.css file further, to adjust the min/max width that it could display at. However, when it appears on these other pages, its width returns to 100%.

    – I want it to go away

    – It’s annoying

    – Help me please

Thanks in advance for any ideas! :)

Oh and also, it only appears once you’re logged in (obviously :/ )

I’d also like to point out, that I want to use the bar on the main blog, but not on any other pages.

That is to say, please don’t say put ‘define(‘BP_DISABLE_ADMIN_BAR’, true );’ in your wp-config.php file and you’ll be fine.

Because I do want to use it, just not on every single page.
