WP-FB-AutoConnect – no friend request being sent if user logs in via facebook

Is there a setting I missed out on or is this a bug?
When you log in via facebook and click the friend request button on a members profile, it says “friendship requested” though there is no notification and no requests in the users ( the one the ‘facebook guys’ wants to be friends with ) profile.
