Duplicating group component

    I’ve been trying to get multiple buddypress groups and came across this old thread, but haven’t been able to get it right.

    Does anyone have a comprehensive guide to duplicate the buddypress group component?

    A group is just a BuddyPress component and you can create your own components. Duplicating the groups component is not an easy task. Why do you need more group types?

    It’s just what makes more sense in my project, I need a couple of groups with different names, each with all the functionality of the buddypress groups.

    I tried doing a find/rename and creating a loader with the help of the buddypress skeleton component as people suggested in the linked thread but it didn’t work. Any help?

    What are the names, are they types? You can add group meta.
