edit: i looked at groupblog, but it is not what i’m wanting to do, i just want a simple page for each activity my project organise where i can add some of the features of BP.
using a WP page i can easily create links to pages like members, activity, profile, etc. really thee only important thing is that it needs to have the groups forum in the homepage somehow.
if there is a way add a page like this (with the group forums) to the BP area that would also work out great.
update. i’ve been messing around with the shortcodes in a WP page but i can only get an overview of my entire forum, not the specific groups forum that i need to display.
any help would be greatly appreciated
Same issue – did you get anywhere with this?
Basically when I start a Group Blog I’d like the Group’s Forum to go with the Blog but when you look in the admin panel for that blog it show’s no Forums. Maybe I/we are missing something?
Failing that the next best thing would be to be able to filter the forum(s) appropriate to that blog … with a widget?? I don’t know. Would like to find an answer for this.
@focallocal As far as I understood, you are trying to create a different layout for the Group Home Page.
If that’s the case, I’d recommend you check the Theme Development Documentation (https://codex.buddypress.org/themes/), you would create a custom template for the Group Home Page and let it the way you feel best.
Now about embedding a forum in a WP page, I know bbPress have the shortcodes (https://codex.bbpress.org/shortcodes/), you could check in the documentation how to make what you aim for.
Hi @espellcaste – just spotted your reply! Thanks for chiming in. I’ve got more or less what I wanted with the BP Multiblog Enable method. But its caused a couple of other issues. I’ll start a new thread.
