Activity Page Energized

I use the Activity page as my home page. My website is quite active but for the visitor, they only see limited activity making the site seem less active and dull.
If I post a new update in the “What’s new” box, it is posted and viewed by both registered members and non-members. If a member comments on that “What’s new” post, only registered members can see it.
I want both non-members and registered members to see the entire conversation, as deep as it may go. This will make my site look lively and interactive.
Can someone suggest a solution?
I’m running the latest version of Buddypress 2.0.1 and WordPress 3.9.1 and use MU. Thank you much!
