Removal of filters in activity streams

I need to remove the filters drop down box from both the main activity and the users activity stream. I’m guessing I just have to remove some code from a file somewhere. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Go into your theme folder /wp-content/themes/yourtheme

Go to the Members Folder –> Single —> Activity.php and delete everything listed below:

I recall you saying, “move it” if you move this anywhere else I am afraid that it won’t do anything for you, being the functions are specific for the user activity stream… but I could go both ways… good luck!
