I’m not sure if this has been answered before or if it is even possible.

What I would ideally like to do is have a message appear when users login which welcome them and links to a page etc.
When the user ticks a box dismissing the message it will no longer display when they login,

All our users are added by admin (i.e. no registering) – I don’t know if this effects anything?

If this is not directly possible I would appreciate suggestion of similar solutions.
