Sorry if this is obvious, all. I didn’t realize how weak my PHP skills were until I tried digging through the BuddyPress files.

One of my pet peeves at the moment is that the Group Forums directory (www.example.com/forums/) only shows users topics from public forums. This seems to be true even from my admin account. Is there a quick way to tweak the query so that it’s looking at all the group forums in which a user is a member?

On a related note, I’ve got the BuddyPress Forums Extras plug-in set installed, and one of the plug-ins in there is the Forums Index. Even though it’s pretty basic, it does provide a functionality that I really wish were native to BuddyPress. The only problem is that it isn’t really compatible with another plug-in I installed called BP Group Hierarchy. It’s fine as long as the group isn’t a child of another group, but if it is, it won’t construct the URL correctly for the group forum. Has anybody else run into this problem and come up with a fix? The reason I’m asking here is that the plug-in author has said he’s not updating it anymore.

If not, I guess this is potentially a problem that’s small enough for me to attempt to tackle on my own. But maybe there’s a better solution for the forum index that I haven’t tried or seen yet.
