Using another URL structure for profiles etc.

Hi, Andy

I’m planning to create a WPMU based social network. But instead of transforming a user blog into a homepage (username.example.com), I simply create a customized home theme that holds most of the social networking part of the site. For example, the user homepage (profile) is located in http://example.com/user/myname.

And I’m interested in using the buddypress components, the private message, the gruops, etc. Is the component flexible enough to be integrated in my site structure?

btw, this is a great project!

Possibly, but it does rely heavily on the way URLs are structured at the moment.

how can we make the home theme to redirect the social networking part. I too want to make the social networking stuff under one link.
