Migrating from phpBB v3.11 to buddypress

Hi there
I run a 3d community called http://www.cgforum.dk, The frontpage is wordpress and the community part is made on the phpBB platform. We would love to migrate/convert to Buddypress, as it would make the site so much more ready for the future with all the nice features Buddypress and wordpress offers.
Do you have any links, or guides to how we could convert from phpBB to Buddypress?
We tried this weekend to convert it, using the plugin “ForumConverter” but with no luck, because the converter is not able to convert from the newest phpBB version (3.11) and we cant go back in versions..So we really dont know what to do now.. Anyone have a clue how to move on to Buddypress from phpBB?
