Hello –

I’m familiar with the “Load Newest” feature of the Activity Feed, and I’m familiar with Brajesh Singh’s “BuddyPress Activity Comment Notifier” plugin. I’m also aware of BuddyPress’s email feature that will send an email to a user who has received a comment on their activity feed post.

I’m not a developer, but as best I can tell the “Load Newest” feature loads only Post Updates, not new comments on any existing posts in the activity feed. Is this the intention?

If I am a user who posts an update like, “Has anyone traveled to Japan?” and others start commenting on it – is it correct that without the “BuddyPress Activity Comment Notifier” plugin or without relying on email notifications of comments, that I would have to refresh my activity feed to see when other users have commented on my post?

If I’m understanding things correctly, does anyone know if dynamic refreshes of all activity feed content are a recognized holy grail for BuddyPress? Facebook has set a high standard for this sort of thing, I realize. I’m just wondering if those of us building communities on BP should even “hope” for that level of dynamic content.
