bbPress Error after updating BuddyPress

I just updated buddypress and now i’m getting this weird message across the top of my page:

Strict Standards: Declaration of BBP_Forums_Group_Extension::display() should be compatible with BP_Group_Extension::display($group_id = NULL) in /home/house/public_html/wp-content/plugins/bbpress/includes/extend/buddypress/groups.php on line 28

Does anyone know how to fix this?

Oh I’m also getting this now too:

Warning: Cannot modify header information – headers already sent by (output started at /home/house/public_html/wp-content/plugins/bbpress/includes/extend/buddypress/groups.php:28) in /home/house/public_html/wp-includes/pluggable.php on line 1178

The BBP_Forums_Group_Extension issue is known and there is a fix.
See this ticket and link to patch.

I see the patch, but how does one apply the patch?

It’s a very simple patch, so you can do it manually.
Simply find and open the file that was changed.
Then paste or type in the change.
[The Line Numbers might be a little different in your file.]

I would also recommend turning debug messages off in a production environment.

Set WP_DEBUG to false in wp-config.php:

Debug notices should only be turned on in a dev environment.
