    Hi

I want to show a customized login form instead of the WordPress login, which is what is currently shown when the default Login menu item is used. Please help.

    Best regards
    Aditya

    Sorry, info as follows:
    Wordpress: 4.1.1
    Buddypress: 2.1.1

I’m developing it on localhost, so no website link yet.

What do you mean by custom login form ? How did you this form ? Do you use a child-thme ? What is your actual theme name ?

So I’m using BuddyPress with Truemag. I want to just show a simple username, password login form – I don’t want it to be redirected to the WordPress login.

I’ve put the BuddyPress login menu item in my TrueMag menu – but when I click on it, it asks me to log into WordPress right now

And what is the problem ? With or without BuddyPress, you login to WordPress. 🙄

When BP is correctly setup, users don’t see the backend (except if you allowed them as author to use your blog or to create one).
It’s exactly the same as when you login on this forum.
