The username in the URL bar, anyway to change?

    HI! I am using a plug in for wish list where when people sign up, they can get logged in automatically. It uses the email as the username.

    Trouble is, it will then display the email in the URL bar in the profile in buddy press.

    Are there anyways to mask the username in the profile URL? Any plug ins? Is it possible developers are for hire to make a plug in? If so, where to find them?

    Help is appreciated. Thanks!

    I want to add, that I would even be open to a URL that even just limited the username in the profile URL to the first 6 characters for example. Are there plugs in or coders that can help?

    Not for what you want it for. Test changing a member’s nicename in the wp_users table. I think that’s where the URL gets built from.
