How to add sidebar to single update/comment page

    Hi there!
If you go to this page (see update/comment) you will see an update and a comment.
But since you are not already logged in you are prevented from doing anything other than going to home page to login (this is by design). I want to have the right side bar display the meta widget that I have on other pages. Go to this link and see what I mean. (this page has login meta widget)

The only difference I see is that one is a BP update/comment and the other is a blog post for WP. I looked at the BP templates but can’t find the right one.

    Hope someone can help?
    Thanks.

First off, all active BP components should have a assigned page. (mandatory)
This page must be blank, without any template model or parent page.

As you use Twenty Eleven via a child theme, read here:
https://codex.buddypress.org/themes/bp-theme-compatibility-and-the-wordpress-default-themes/twenty-eleven-theme/ How to get the sidebar is explained there.

    Where is WP installed ?
    Site url is vatpt1.thevillageblog.com/
Blog seems to be in /villageatthepark/

Hello @danbp, I am looking at the solution you provided and trying to work with the instructions.
I’m still new to PHP and can’t find the .singular body class in the theme’s function.php file that is mentioned in the instructions.
Not sure what to look for.
Can you point me in the right direction?
    Thanks

I can’t explain better as the Codex. You simply have to follow what’s explained here:

    Twenty Eleven Theme
