Template look and feel issues

Could anyone tell me how to get a better look and feel for profile areas with BuddyPress?

Not sure how to get rid of sidebars for profile area, How to allow buddyPress custom header to work as it should etc.

Changing profile tags to icons would be a huge plus.

This is what I am limited to

How could this become something remotely close to this one:

    Thank you in Advance

Take a look at the BuddyPress Template Hierarchy article. If your theme uses BuddyPress templates then you’ll be able to override them.

I am not using a buddypress template.

Then you’ll want to 😉 Please read the codex guides we wrote them to help explain these sorts of requirements.

Have a read and pop back if further questions arise after reading the guides.
