Buddypress mails

i just installed buddypress for my jobsite- .JobsinnigeriaToday.com which is for Jobs in Nigeria, i installed it and it seems i cannot send out messages or activation mails, pls what do i do?

When you say can’t send out emails are you on a server that has been set up to email? I ask this as you may not be.

Also what happens on activation does it just not send out?

You probably need a SMTP email plugin
