multiple duplicate member-to-member messages

    Hi.
    WP 4.2.5
    BP 2.3.4
    Responsive theme 1.9.7.7
    http://transinformation.net/

    When a member contacts another member by sending a message, that message arrives in the recipient’s inbox multiple times, sometimes 10, sometimes even up to 20 times.

    Any idea why this happens, and how it can be solved?

    It may be a theme issue.
    To confirm – try switching to a standard WP theme like 2015 and then test message sending.

    Thank you, Shane. We can not switch the theme in the life site w/o a lot of reformatting.. Could try in the backup site, just for testing to figure out if the culprit might indeed be the theme..

    A different approach would make us happier, though .. hmm..
