BuddyPress.org

I have a category which is set to private and has sub forums (that are open) within it are set to open. The sub forums are not showing to the admin and show a page 404.

If I make the category public then I can see the forum but so can the public. The idea is to have the forums to registered users only so can someone help?

I am using the latest version of bbpress and wordpress, all plugins disabled and using the stock theme.
