How to remove/add a menu item?

I would like to customize the bp_nav_items, to remove two items (Action and Group), and to customize menu navigation in Drop-Down Menu style.
I would like to create a menu navigation with two items: “Home” and “Profile” (in the Profile there will be the other menu items in Drop-Down Menu style).Can you help me?
