PostID from GroupForumPermalink?

Hi,

we have bbpress as forum in our buddypress groups. so i have permalinks like
http://groups.domain.tld/groups/frank-testgroup/forum/topic/new-topic/

i need the postID from the topic. The function url_to_postid() returns 0

Does anyone get an idea how I made the permalink to the postID?

This is an old topic, but not answered. I need this too.
we have non english characters in our urls, and topic/reply URLs are too long and ugly. I want post IDs instead of full slugs. for example instead of

http://example.com/group/industrial/forum/topic/instruments/page/34/#post-79878

I want this:

http://example.com/group/industrial/post/ID

Is that possible?

Amin – You would have to ask your request on the bbPress forums – https://bbpress.org/forums

bbPress handles BuddyPress integration into the Groups component.
