[Resolved] Auto Generated Link in User Profiles

    Are auto generated search links in user profiles still part of BP? The links I’m talking about are the ones were if multiple users input the same text into a xprofile field, a search link was built and it would return a member directory list of all those users.

    I can find all kinds of blog posts and support tips on how to deactivate them, but they are all posts from several years ago.

    I have a client that may be able to make use of them, but I’m not seeing any live links on the user profiles of any of the BP sites I manage. Did that feature quietly go away since so many people asked about how to turn it off?

    If it is still in core, but deactivated, how do turn it on?

    Hi,

    this feature is currently handled field by field when you’re on the field creation page.
    dashboard > Users > Profile Fields
    Edit an existing field and see in the right column the box named Autolink. From there you can choose to enable/disable it.
