All WP comments displaying on BP pages

    Hi,

    I’m having the same issue as Torgrim describes in this post:

    I have same problem!

    Need comments on some (other) pages/posts (but only those I set this for on a page/post basis). Have turned off comments in Settings > Discussion.

    If I comment on a page/post, the comments somehow show up in my BuddyPress pages (Profile, Activity view, etc.)

    This problem only occurs for the BuddyPress pages. When I go to a regulat post or page, only the comments (if allowed) for that page is showing.

    Very frustrating…

    My BuddyPress pages says “Comments are closed”. But still show comments from other posts/pages.

    The topic however does not state a solution for this.

    Can anyone help me with this issue?

    It’s related to your theme. Test it is the case by activating a Twenty theme. Once you have found that it is indeed this, go to your theme documentation or support and see how to remove the comment template in your-theme/page.php or how to deactivate that if you use a framework or a very customizable theme.

    This should normally be done via a child theme.

    Hi! This evening I had the same problem about comments in BuddyPress. It took me a couple of hours to find the solution, but was in part thanks to this forum that I could do it. I wrote a post joining all the solutions that I found and applied together. Escribí un artículo recopilando todas las soluciones que encontré y fuí aplicando.
