Can not create Groups, sort of

WordPress 4.6.1 running Poseidon theme.
BP Version 2.7.2

Hello,

For some reason (No idea) but today I can not create ‘some’ groups, after testing I discovered I CAN create a group TEST, but if I try and create the group “Foot Fetish” when I click the CREATE GROUP & CONTINUE button it doesn’t create the group and brings me back to the Group Create page (i.e. the same page), if however I put test 1, or test 2 in the group name, and with test 1 & test 2 in the description box, NO PROBLEM!!!

Driving me NUTS, please help!

Have you tried deactivating all other plugin and seeing if that fixes it?

Hi

Yes I have tried this, the problem is still there, I have also tried other themes including twenty 12 etc.

It’s all very weird, I can make a group “feet” no problem for example, or test etc as stated above, not sure what to do, this practically makes my whole site worthless and apart from scrapping the whole thing and starting again I don’t know what to do.

The only thing I can think of is maybe you created a group with that name before and somehow BP is retaining that info?

No, but thanks for the help.

In fact I have another BP install and you can not create a group “Foot Fetish” on that install either! In fact I challenge ANYONE with a BP install to try and create such a group and you will see the problem for yourself!

Crazy stuff…
