How can I add a simple field to a group using the ACF plugin, anyone knows?

@brunomac not at default integration, you can check Group Extras plugin approach. https://wordpress.org/plugins/buddypress-groups-extras/

I’ve seen that plugin before but didn’t install it because it wasn’t tested with the latest versions of WP nor BP.

Do you think/know that it stills works?

WP: 4.9.6
BP: 3.1.0
