Upload GIF for profile avatar without crop

    Is it possible to use GIFs as Profile Avatar in Buddy Press – this means an option to upload without cropping.
    Is there any plugin to do so or can someone request a change in Buddypress core.

    I see that even if the photo is smaller than required dimensions.. it still is forced to be cropped.

    Initials – Instead of a profile picture, your initials will appear.
    Upload a new picture – Upload a picture from your computer.
    Take Photo With Camera – If you are using Google Chrome or the Trello iOS App, you can use your camera to create a new avatar.

    thanks @arthur836 – I am not sure if you understood my question. I want to use a GIF file – an animated GIF which has 2 or more pictures.
