Why does ‘Private Messaging’ have a default option to add other members?

One very anoying with BuddyPress messages is the mandatory Subject field. Why does members have to write a subject to communicate?
Please make an option for turning off the subject field.If a member forget to write an subject the predefined “Send To member” is erased and you have to locate the member again, if you do not remember the username!
Another anoying thing is the empty text field to add another user to the message, next to the user profile. The component is called
Private Messaging, so why have an default option to add other members?
User do not know what to put in this box. Make an option for only messaging a single profile, or at least put this box in a new line, with a title like “adding another member to this message?”Regards
