Problems with ”change avatar” page

The page is not compatible with plugin “WordPress popular posts” (thumbnails paths are broken: “uploads/avatars/[id]/…” instead “uploads/…”) after image uploading. I found wp_upload_dir() returns wrong path on this page (buddypress is changing some base parameter?).
How can fix it?
