No way to configure Buddypress with Save button missing!

    Hi
I have just updated to the latest version of WordPress 3.41 & Buddypress 1.5.6, but cannot configure it because the save button as shown in screenshots is missing! I have tried this in Firefox & Opera & up that bar, there’s simply no Save button. So I’m stck on the “Components” page, with the others not being clickable.

    What could be the problem?

    Thank you & regards

Which screenshots are you referring to?

    Hi,

I was referring to this https://codex.buddypress.org/getting-started/setting-up-a-new-installation/buddypress-1-5-installation-wizard/ under Step 1.

I only have Components – Finish & nothing beyond, which should be the “Save & …” button.

I think it’s a not a browser issue as this is the same on different PCs where no other such problem has shown up for WordPress plugins. Also I think it is no server issue, with the PHP 5.3 & 5.2, with all other scripts, including Drupal running.

So running the installation wizard leads to a dead end. :(

I would appreciate any help …

    Kind regards

I’ve never seen anything like that before. I don’t know. Are there any errors in your web browser’s javascript console or on your server’s PHP logs?

Hi just did a uninstall and reinstall but didn’t get any log errors. The errors below were the last errors that i received, but i don’t think they have anything to do with buddy press. Where should i go to get help with this?

I am running wordpress locally on a mamp server could that be the problem?

    Regards

It’s a problem with your “Decor” theme. Switch to twentyeleven or another theme, then go back to complete BuddyPress setup.

The problem seemed to be the Precisio theme. It seems buddypress works only with specific themes or at least the one it suggests during configuration. So I changed to one suggested above. During installation, I changed yet again to the buddypress default theme suggested configuration. Later, I tried to revert to Precisio & all pages created by the buddypress plugin where blank.
At least I now know where the problem lies
    Thank you & regards ;)
