how to make Navigation bar instead of horizontal to vertical

Okay guys just like the way bp 1.6 has its upper right vertical navigation to go from pages to pages, I want to keep that vertical style but I want it to be in my left-sidebar how can I do that i am using Modemloopers bp-column theme which has 3 columns.
and at last how can I get rid of wp-bar?
