“The forums component has not been set up yet.”

I set up BuddyPress on WP 3.4.1. I opted for the Sitewide Groups. All seemed to go well.
I entered a few Forums and Topics. Worked well.
Then I installed the Frisco Theme.
Now if I’m on the home page, and click the Forums tab, I get the home page with a small banner that states: “The forums component has not been set up yet.”
I don’t understand…..
I was able to enter a couple of Forums and Topics. How can the forums component not be set up yet if I was able to set some up?
I switched back to the BP default theme and the same error message still shows; which makes tend to believe that the problem is independent of the themes.
Help appreciated.
