I’ve got another “do you think this will work?” question.

On the existing C# site I run, individual bloggers have the ability to tag a post on their individual blog and, provided they’re a member of a special group, that blog entry will then appear on the main page of the website. I’m trying to figure out how to do that in BP.

In theory, I should be able to adapt the BP “Recent Blog Posts” code right? The simplest thing would be just to tell BP to also look for some specific tag in the tag field and only display those posts.

What about if you assign users to a particular BP group? Can you also then have BP post the most recent forum posts from a users blog, but only if they are also a member of that group? Is that difficult job or an easy one?

Right now, under BP, any members from the wider social network would have to join the main-page blog, be given publishing rights, then create and publish an entry there. If they also wanted said entry to appear on their own individual blog they’d have to copy and paste it over. I’m trying to remove one step, to enable the ability to easily “cross-post,” but I go back and forth as to thinking if it’s a major coding job or not.
