Using groups and not username

Good day.
How to replace a username with a group name in a dropdown list or input field.
after creating groups and assigning users to the group, I want to work with groups and not individual users.

any documentation, shortcode ore plugin that you can refer me to will be appreciated.

There is no group logins available in buddypess. AFter all only a user can create an account.

If you share more details, there might be options available for you which you can explore.

Thank you for your reply.

I want to create a Senior Developer Group; and a Junior Developer group.
then I want to create two different environments where work is assigned to each group.
I want to assign work by group and not by username.

groups will be managed by Managers, tasks will be assigned by groups

So I want to all group entries where WordPress only allow user entire

any advice is appreciated
