This is something that others experience as well. I can’t tell you if it’s by design or just something that haven’t been taken care of yet.
The same is true for activities and other “aggregated views”.
Is this on your own install, or on testbp.org?
Hi Andy.
I can’t reproduce the error that John is talking about on my install (WPMU 2.7, BP 1.0b2) and when going through the steps to reproduce the cache related error I was talking about I realize that bp is working as intended.
I felt that entries in the activity stream should be removed when a user removed, for instance, a blog post but just because a user removes a blog post doesn’t mean that it hasn’t been posted at one time.
Sorry about that, my brain has been going on overdrive for way too long. I’ll be more careful when it comes to crying wolf the next time.
This is on my own domain and it is live.
What is the url of your site?
What version of WPMU and BP are you using?
my url is http://www.dutchessday.com and the most current version of buddy press with wp 2.7.
I just get a normal “plain” WP blog at that URL and not BP.
I found out what it was. I had to go into phpmyadmin and manually delete any blog ids that were found in the table blog_meta. then the empty blog syndrome showing up in the blog listings goes away. I wish there were an easier fix for this. I am using dreamhost on a shared environment.
This is fixed, just not in beta 2, it’s fixed in rc-1.
