Mod rewrite problem with Registeration

So I have successful installed wordpress mu plus buddy press and absolutely love it. Only one slight problem, I think the htaccess / mod rewrite for the registration urls are messing up
And try and click create a free account or sign up and I end up at
http://fanbud.com/wp-login.php?redirect_to=http://fanbud.com/register
Any ideas on how to fix this
