I am trying to restructure how plugin-template.php works but have not been able to remove any items.

What am I missing with these calls?

remove_action( ‘wp’, ‘groups_directory_groups_setup’);

remove_action( ‘bp_template_content’, ‘groups_directory_groups_content’ );

remove_action( ‘bp_template_sidebar’, ‘groups_directory_groups_sidebar’ );
