problem add category

maybe it’s not buddypress related. maybe it’s wpmu?
but recently when i add/remove category, it seems just not responding.
nothing changed.
but when i logout then login again, what i add/remove do happen.
i did add/remove category few days ago and everything works ok.
any idea what?
