how to assist users

    A user of my BP install is having trouble with uploading his profile picture so has sent it to me and asked me for help adding it. Is there anywhere that I can log in as admin and upload the picture for him?

    I assume that the user passwords are encrypted even from the admin so is the only way I can get his password by asking him for it?

    Unfortunately, you are limited to this option right now. Future versions will allow admins to pose as another user in the system.

    As an admin, you can change the user’s password to something you know, then ask the user to change it back when you are done.

    Do I change it in the users table in the db? I don’t want to break anything so would rather ask before trying.

    Kunal, you need to read and learn wordpress documents. This is convered in the basics.

    @kunali – there is a plugin for MU that maybe soes this. I am using it. It’s name is “login as” – you don’t need a password to login as a different user.

    Ahh, Thanks Michael, Ill give that a try. I have been looking at WPMU documentation but havent come across the process to change user passwords yet.
