Adding Location to Groups and Members

Hi,
When new groups and users are created I’d like to have fields defined for them to put in their location, ‘City’, ‘Region’ and ‘Country’.
With that information there, I would then like to be able to:
* Search under /groups/ and /members/ for ‘New York’ for example and have all groups and people based in New York.
* See activity from groups by their location, /activity/groups/my-city/, or even better – be able to choose, /activity/groups/new-york/ or /activity/members/new-york
How would I go about this? Are there any developers willing to add this functionality, for a fee perhaps? It’s for a charity so we aren’t exactly minted!
