If you’ve migrated the users correctly, they’d only show in the BuddyPress members directly once they’ve logged in for the first time.

Migrating from WP to WPMU is beyond the scope of this forum. Have you tried Google or on the WPMU forums?

I know DJP, sorry for this little OT but the problem is BP related, in MU all works ok, the users are able to login etc but i’ve problem with BP (members directory, activity, last users and all the function of BP)

Since you have taken a WP install and turned it into a WPMU install, there would be no BP data to import from your original install. Thus, you will have no BP data when install and activate BP–other than your Admin account.

Did you search the WPMU forums for instructions?

    https://mu.wordpress.org/search/upgrading+WP+to+WPMU?forums=1

If so, as DJPaul says, each member will have to log in before their initial BP data set is created.

thanks for the link Jeff, and yes i’ve read a lot of topics on MU forum (the problem isn’t related to MU because i can login, access the backend and do all the actions allowed to a simple user on MU.

i know when i import all the user i don’t have data for BP, but i’ve logged in with a user “Arturo” updated my profile but the member directory is empty, the last user widget too, etc and this is my problem, see the user in BP, after i’ve created and updated the profile for example…

You might want to take a look at this plugin:

    http://manojkumar.org/user-import-for-buddypress/

It will allow you to import a ‘delimited’ set of data into your bp setup. Note that the current version is 1.0.3, and the author includes a link to this further down in the comments – http://manojkumar.org/wp-content/uploads/user-import-for-buddypress-all-fields-1.0.3.zip

I’m about to try the plugin myself, so can’t completely vouch for it’s effectiveness yet.

I’m guessing the potential problem with this for you could be that it won’t send out current passwords, though it says it will send out new passwords to your users. It depends how understanding you think your users are, and how many you have to move over – might be worth the potential user backlash to ensure you can effectively move them into your BP setup?
