Multiple forums for group – How can I do it?

Hi,
Completely new to Buddypress, still feeling my way around.
I very much like the Group forum plugin – so much, I’d like to have TWO forums for each group.
Is something like this already possible, or if not, what steps would I need to take in order to do this?

Thank you. What about the second question then – if I need to dig in the code or create my own plugin, where do I start?
Has anyone worked with the forum plugin enough to point me in the right direction?
(Let me add to this – I’m a php programmer, and I’ve done some small WP plugin work in the past. I’m new to all the WPMU and Buddypress files and am looking for a little help with a quick start, as I’m just trying to help a friend get something finished quickly and don’t have time to learn the code properly. Any quick notes or “watch outs” are appreciated.
In compensation, if I manage this and make a plugin/modification, I’ll be happy to release it to the community
