And this: http://buddypress.org/community/groups/third-party-components-plugins/forum/topic/smf-forum-importer/ – However that plugin isn’t updated since SMF 1.1.x and I didn’t manage to make it work with SMF 2.0.2..

And I found a plugin for SMF doing it the opposite way: http://download.simplemachines.org/?converters;software=bbpress

You need to convert SMF into bbPress. bbPress is a forum, like SMF, so you need to convert from like-to-like. I’m not sure if bbPress has an importer for SMF, but check it out: https://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/bbpress/

I manage to convert SMF to phpbb and from phpbb to bbPress. However I didn’t like the bbPress-forum.. and somehow the different boards from SMF and phpbb didn’t work out in bbPress..
Is there some way to connect either SMF or phpbb to buddypress?

and that might be a solution, but I think it would be better if it was more integrated with buddypress

I don’t think anyone has created a plugin to merge BP with SMF or phpbb
