As you probably all know Facebook launched a lot of new features this week and at the same time they announced that they would discontinue the Facebook Connect technology.

How does this effect plugins like wp-fb-autoconnect? I am running a test-site where I use this plugin for logins and signups. But the login button hasn’t worked the last few days. Is this because I broke something myself or is it because of the changes in Facebook?

im just having problem with wp-fb-autoconnect for username and nicename.
fb generate username automatically with fb010101010 << example . can i customize this ??

but i didn’t understand to fix this.
users who connect with FB will generate her / his nicename, and nicename is use space that can’t read in address bar and always redirect to frontpage.
manually i open phpmyadmin and delete space in nicename and its works.
but if in a day come 10 new users,. i can’t do manually update phpmyadmin. thats hardwork,.

im newbie and i need the detail step if anyone can fix my problem.

i can confirm @chephzpj the problem with the usernames in buddypress and facebook were solved. If you are having problems with user redirects to homepage then go to the plugin options page and under “debug” uncheck “disable buddypress filters” and it should work like a charm!
