Hi all,

can somebody give me a hint if there is an easy way to remove validation of user joining groups (so admin does not have to accept but they will be instantly joined)? Even better would be a function that I can use to automatically join users in certain groups depending on what they select in their profile custom fields, e.g. a user choosing that he is a student will be automatically joining a certain group.

For the first item, are you not able to change the groups to public? Does that cause problems with how you are using groups?

I still want the group content to be private to the members of the group, just want to skip the validation of an admin.

Perfect would be a function that could call when a certain condition is met, that jregisters the present user in the appropriate group and that he can instantly access the content of the group.
