Accesing A Certain Code…

Hi all, was wondering if anyone could answer my quick question. When you are on the groups page, you get two filters:
All Groups (x) and My Groups (x)
Where can I find the core files to edit and add a new filter? I can’t find it anywhere. Thanks!
