How do you get BBpress to show up when you have the buddypress plugin installed in a custom theme?

I have installed the forum and it created the database and dumped the bb-config file into the root directory of wordpress, but what do i do next to make the forum show up attached to a forum page?

Any help would be great.

Create a group, then create a forum for that group.

The forums directory should be available at example.com/forums.
